Tiny Tweak
Six client requests, all "quick ones". Guess how big each really is: the inside decides — and you can't see the inside.
The product — a coffee-run order page, working fine
This is all you can see. It's all any client ever sees. Now size some changes.

spotsL — 6+ spots, or a question the code can't answer

Commit to a size before you peek. Your client voice already said "shouldn't take long, yeah?" — now check it.
The pro move — before saying "just quickly", ask the agent: "what does this actually touch?" The inside is invisible from where you stand, but it answers questions — in seconds, for free, every time. The lesson: "small change, small work" assumes the outside predicts the inside. It never did, in any era of programming — the notation changed, the iceberg didn't.
